Signs101 was formed in 2004 by two very close friends, James & Tony, who still work very closely together. The friends experience in graphic design and large format digital printing meant they always had a love for design and manufacturing. The early days saw the friends concentrating on just the production of large format poster for large cooperative house, but this some became too much of a routine and a change was needed.
In 2005 James & Tony launched Canvas101 which saw them at the forefront of canvas printing and giclee art printing. The company was formed when Tony was actually out looking for a piece of affordable art to dress his freshly painted living room with but kept coming across the same mass produced designs at IKEA or the way over priced one of pieces at local galleries. Having the experience and knowledge of large format printing Tony & James were able to put their heads together and come up with a few designs on screen which they later printed onto canvas and framed themselves. Three months later Canvas101 was born!
Canvas101 is still in operation today and continues to offer new and innovated ways to display photos. As one of the most popular Canvas Printing companies in the UK Canvas101 has a good following of photographer, illustrators and digital artists.
In early 2006 the friends both remortgaged their family houses and invested the capital into starting Signs101. Failure was never an option for the two friends as failing would mean losing more than just their businesses. After years of hard graft and working all the hours God sent the friends soon realised that both their business were firmly placed in the market place and slowly becoming a favourite amongst local businesses. Repeat business and client recommendations has seen the Signs101 team grow to its strong four man team which between them has over 50 years of combined signage and print experience.
The Signs101 team is now firmly rooted in the local community and very much respected by the local business community as being an honest and friendly company to work with. We've had to work hard to gain our respect and it's not something we are prepared to sacrifice quickly, that’s why each and every client who chooses to use our service is treated with the utmost respect and professionalism.
The Year 2009 saw the team move to there new home in Chadwell Heath Industrial Estate (Romford). We hope this is the last move we have to do....Where not getting any younger and the weight of our equipment is only getting heavier so moving is something we try to avoid.
